Anudeep Yekula, MBBS

I am born and brought up in Guntur, a small town in Andhra Pradesh, India. I have graduated from Guntur Medical College, India as a valedictorian with several honours and scholarships. After graduation, I joined the laboratory of Dr. Bob Carter at Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School, developing liquid biopsy based assays for minimally invasive diagnosis and monitoring of brain tumours, specifically glioblastomas.

My goals as a general surgery resident at Yale-New Haven Hospital are to gain high-quality clinical training, knowledge in patient care and operative management. I intend to build upon my research experiences in diagnostic oncology to develop liquid biopsy-based tests for cancers and specifically integrate them with surgical outflows. My overall career objective is to become a Surgeon-Scientist integrating my clinical and research skills to innovate, improve and provide the best surgical care to my future patients.
