Biography

Brooke is a proud Southern California native who moved to New York to attend the Joan H. Marks Graduate Program in Human Genetics at Sarah Lawrence College. There, she earned her Master of Science in Human Genetics and was a graduate fellow in the Leadership in Neurodevelopmental-related Disabilities (LEND) fellowship. Brooke’s interest in cancer genetics began during her undergraduate career at the University of California, Irvine, where she majored in Genetics and began working at a commercial genetic testing laboratory upon graduation. These experiences allowed Brooke to develop core characteristics that she values and embodies in her genetic counseling practice every day: compassion, integrity, and diligence. She is thrilled that her genetic counseling journey brought her to Smilow Cancer Genetics and Prevention and is motivated to assist her patients in making empowering decisions regarding their genetic health.
