Olivia Leach

Olivia is currently pursuing her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies. She has been a member of the APATING lab at the Olin Neuropsychiatry Research Center for over two years. Olivia is a research assistant studying the cognitive abilities of African American individuals with psychiatric illness who also have a history of psychosis. Prior to working at the Institute of Living, Olivia worked in upstate New York at an adult day habilitation center with individuals who have cognitive and developmental disabilities. This is where she was first exposed to the field of Psychology and mental illness which she discovered she has a strong interest in. She is very passionate about community service. Besides local service, she has participated in two alternative spring break trips during college where she traveled to the south to help communities rebuild after being devastated by natural disasters.
