Biography
Amy Wiegand graduated from the genetic counseling program at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. In addition to her training as a genetic counselor, Amy has volunteered for IMAlive.org, an online crisis hotline, for over three years where she has training in crisis intervention. Amy is passionate about the benefits of genetic testing and how this information can be used by individuals and their families to make the best decisions for their health. As a Connecticut native, Amy is proud to be a part of the multidisciplinary team at the Smilow Cancer Genetics and Prevention Program. Amy sees patients in New Haven, Trumbull, and Greenwich.
