Biography
Cheryl K. Zogg, PhD, MSPH, MHS, is an MD-PhD Candidate at Yale School of Medicine. She completed her PhD in Chronic Disease Epidemiology with an emphasis on quantitative analysis and biostatistics. As an MSTP student, Cheryl is funded via an Individual NRSA Fellowship from the National Institute on Aging (MD-PhD F30 grant) and Yale's MD-PhD Medical Scientist Training Program (T32 grant). Cheryl’s research centers around the fields of surgical health services and outcomes, striving to understand how the organization of health systems, social determinants of health, and variations in access influence the outcomes and quality of surgical care. To date, Cheryl has published more than 100 peer-reviewed papers and, in 2018, was recognized in Forbes 30Under30 for her research in healthcare.
