Robert S. Sherwin

Robert S. Sherwin, M.D., FW ’74, the C.N.H. Long Professor of Medicine, was appointed chief of endocrinology in the Department of Internal Medicine at Yale-New Haven Hospital and the School of Medicine in March. Sherwin also directs the Yale Center for Clinical Investigation and the Diabetes Endocrinology Research Center. He is the principal investigator of the Clinical and Translational Science Award at Yale, the largest research grant awarded to the University to date. He has previously served as the program director of the General Clinical Research Center.
