Michael B. Bracken, Ph.D., M.P.H. ’70, professor and head of chronic disease epidemiology and professor of neurology, obstetrics and gynecology, gave the keynote speech at the 37th annual meeting of the International Medical Society of Paraplegia in June in Brazil. The theme of the talk was current and future prospects for the pharmacologic treatment of acute spinal cord injury.
