Lee Goldman, M.D. ’73, M.P.H. ’73, executive vice president of Columbia University and dean of Columbia University’s College of Physicians and Surgeons, was awarded the 2007 John Phillips Memorial Award by the American College of Physicians in April. The award is bestowed for outstanding work in clinical medicine. Goldman was also honored by the American Heart Association (AHA). The AHA Quality of Care and Outcomes Outstanding Achievement Award was presented at the AHA’s Scientific Forum on Quality of Care and Outcomes Research in Cardiovascular Disease and Stroke in Washington, D.C., on May 9.
