Yale Psychiatry trainees hold special Grand Rounds at university art gallery

July 21, 2017

Trainees in the Yale Department of Psychiatry’s Residency Program spent time socializing at the university’s renowned art gallery on July 21.

As part of a special edition resident-only Grand Rounds called “Vertical Integration,” the trainees gathered at the Yale University Art Gallery to interact and get to know each other.

Najwa Mayer, a PhD candidate in American studies, hosted the group of about 27 residents. Mayer led the residents through several interactive activities in the art gallery, including sketching. The residents enjoyed lunch together after their visit.

The session was organized by Joseph Taylor, MD, PhD, and Myra Mathis, MD, outgoing Presidents of the Yale Psychiatry Residents’ Association (PRA). The PRA advocates for the trainees and serves as a liaison between residents and faculty.
