January 11, 2016

The New England Journal of Medicine has ranked two Yale Department of Psychiatry papers among its top 10 psychiatry stories for 2015.

The paper “Cost-Effectiveness of Comprehensive, Integrated Care for First Episode Psychosis in the NIMH RAISE Early Treatment Program” was third on the list.

Robert Rosenheck, MD, professor of psychiatry, epidemiology and public health, and the Child Study Center, completed the cost effectiveness analysis for the study, which is expected to be published next month.

Listed sixth on the list by the NEJM editors was a paper by resident Samuel Wilkinson, MD, which studied chronic marijuana use by veterans with posttraumatic stress disorder.

The 10 stories on the list were chosen out of more than 200 summaries published in 2015.
