Three faculty named to ACNP membership

The American College of Neuropsychopharmacology (ACNP) has named three faculty with the Yale Department of Psychiatry to its membership rolls.

Appointed to ACNP Associate Member was Thomas Fernandez, MD, Assistant Professor in the Child Study Center and of Psychiatry.

Chiang-shan Ray Li, MD, PhD, Associate Professor of Psychiatry and Neurobiology, has been appointed an ACNP Member, while Rajita Sinha, PhD, Foundations Fund Professor of Psychiatry and Professor in the Child Study Center and of Neuroscience, was appointed an ACNP Fellow.

The membership appointments were made to coincide with the ACNP annual meeting, held December 4-8 in Hollywood, Fla.

Founded in 1961, The American College of Neuropsychopharmacology (ACNP) is a professional organization of leading brain scientists. The principal functions of the College are research and education. Members are selected primarily on the basis of their original research contributions to the broad field of neuroscience.

Membership of the College is drawn from scientists in multiple fields including behavioral pharmacology, brain imaging, chronobiology, clinical psychopharmacology, epidemiology, genetics, molecular biology, neurochemistry, neuroendocrinology, neuroimmunology, neurology, neurophysiology, pharmacology, psychiatry, and psychology.
