Dr. Kelly Olino joins the Yale School of Medicine from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas, where she was recognized as a Texas Rising Star. She is board certified in Complex Surgical Oncology and General Surgery. While in Texas she was recognized for her melanoma research as a Provost Scholar and a recipient of the Society for Surgical Oncology’s Clinical Investigator Award to support her research in tumor immunology. She completed her surgical residency at The Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and a fellowship in complex surgical oncology at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
Dr. James Clune joined Yale School of Medicine and Smilow Cancer Hospital after completing a research fellowship at Harvard Medical School, his internship and residency at Yale New Haven Hospital. At Yale he received his training in melanoma surgery under the direction of Dr. Stephan Ariyan, founder of the Yale Melanoma Unit. After completion of his training at Yale he pursued additional education in the treatment of upper extremity pathologies at the University of California, Irvine and peripheral nerve reconstruction in Madrid, Spain. He was voted the Yale Plastic Surgery Teacher of the Year in 2018.
Drs. Clune and Olino care for patients at Smilow Cancer Hospital in New Haven and the Shoreline Medical Center in Guilford, along with their medical oncology and radiation oncology colleagues in the Melanoma Program. They look forward to partnering with colleagues in the community and providing their expertise to patients.
