Sanchez receives International Society for CNS Drug Development award

Raymond Sanchez, MD, a former resident, fellow, and instructor in the Yale Department of Psychiatry, has received the 2016 ISCDD Award for Leadership from the International Society for CNS Drug Development (ISCDD).

Sanchez, senior vice president, Global Clinical Development, at Otsuka Pharmaceutical Development & Commercialization, received the award in recognition of his many contributions to the development of new treatments for patients with psychiatric and neurological disorders.

The award was presented at the 14th Annual Meeting of ISCDD, a non-profit leadership forum for CNS drug development professionals.

"It is a great honor to be recognized by one's peers and I accept this award on behalf of the many individuals with whom I have worked over the years to bring new treatment options to patients and practitioners," Sanchez said.

Raymond Sanchez, MD

Sanchez joined Otsuka in 2007. He is responsible for overseeing all development activity in the CNS therapeutic area. He worked at Bristol-Myers Squibb before joining Otsuka.

He completed his residency training in internal medicine and psychiatry at Yale, where he also completed a fellowship and was an instructor in the Yale Department of Psychiatry.
