Reunion 2017: Class of 2012 5th Reunion note

June 20, 2017

We had sunny skies for the Class of 2012’s fifth-year reunion, where a dozen of us came together to catch up and reminisce. Some of us are in practice, many others in residency or fellowship (with several having returned to Yale), and a few are set to finish the M.D./Ph.D. program in the coming months. There was welcome news of several weddings this year—many of them doubling as informal class reunions—and a handful of birth announcements as our extended YSM family continues to grow. We strolled down Cedar Street and were relieved to find that the food carts are still nourishing the campus in the typical "not oily healthy way." The Sterling Hall of Medicine, overlooking new construction around the medical school, remains a testament to the pioneers of the Yale system who came before us and an inspiration to the classes who have followed. As we exchanged hugs and contact information, there was a profound appreciation that however far from New Haven our lives and careers may take us, we will always be welcomed when we come home to Yale. We look forward to seeing many of you at the 10th reunion!
