David Brissette and Elizabeth Roessler presented to a packed audience at the Physician Assistant Education Association's 2019 Forum in Washington, DC on Friday, October 11, 2019. Their presentation, “EI EI Oh! What a Difference Emotional Intelligence Can Make,” introduced the concepts of Emotional Intelligence (EI) and proposed tips to incorporate EI strategies into PA curriculum. They proposed that adding EI to a curriculum may foster both emotional and intellectual growth during training and beyond. The presentation generated a lively discussion among PA educators, many of whom continued the conversation after the presentation.
