Donate blood to support those in need

April 16, 2013

The director of Yale-New Haven Hospital’s blood bank is urging people to donate blood in the coming weeks to help restock supplies after Monday’s tragedy at the Boston Marathon.

“The blood supply we have currently is adequate, but will need to be replenished down the road,” said Dr. Edward Snyder. “We urge people to call 1-800-REDCROSS to make appointments and donate in an orderly fashion.”

People can also find blood drive locations and dates at www.redcrossblood.org
