Child Study Center at Hamden's National Night Out

August 10, 2017
by Sandra Gossart-Walker

On August 1st the Yale Child Study Center joined over 50 other programs, businesses, and agencies at Villano Park in Hamden to celebrate the National Night Out. This national event is held each year in communities across the country to heighten crime prevention awareness and build relationships with community leaders. The Child Study Center table offered information on clinical and research opportunities through the Center. Several children were happy to announce “I go there!” as they heard about the programs at the Center. Parents and other community members were happy to hear all that is offered through the Center and asked many questions. There was food, entertainment and children's activities from 4pm to 8pm. We particularly enjoyed the children dancing with the Hamden Police (only use this last sentence if the pictures of them dancing below are good enough).

A special thanks goes out to Judy Eisenberg from IFP and Anna Martucci from IICAPS for helping out on such a hot evening.

I go there!
