Robert S. Langer is one of history's most prolific inventors in medicine and a pioneer in drug delivery in tissue engineering. As David H. Koch Institute Professor at MIT, Dr. Langer has written over 1,250 articles. He also has nearly 1,050 patents worldwide. Dr. Langer’s patents have been licensed or sublicensed to over 250 pharmaceutical, chemical, biotechnology and medical device companies. He is the most cited engineer in history.
