Shivani Bhatt, MD, PhD, third-year resident in the Yale Department of Psychiatry, has been selected to receive the National Institute of Mental Health’s 2023 Outstanding Resident Award.
The award has been presented to resident physicians throughout the country for over 30 years. It recognizes residents with outstanding research and academic potential and is intended to encourage residents to continue to develop their research careers.
Bhatt is invited to participate in an awards program October 2-3 at the National Institute of Health campus in Bethesda, MD. The program will include talks from NIMH investigators and interactive meetings with NIMH leadership, extramural staff, and current clinical fellows. Award recipients will also learn about research training opportunities at NIMH.
Bhatt and the other award recipients will be invited to present a poster about their current research or research interests.
