The Association of Yale Alumni in Medicine is co-sponsoring the New Haven Health Fair - Party with a Purpose at Stetson Library on Saturday, May 12 as part of the Yale Day of Service. The purpose of the fair is to provide the New Haven community and surrounding neighborhoods with free services, education, and resources; all related to health and well-being! Co-sponsors of the event are the Yale Medical Students Association, and the Yale Club of New Haven. The health fair aims to offer a wide range of resources and activities: health screenings, mental health counseling, career planning, health insurance education, on-site exercise classes, and more. YSM Alumni are encouraged to volunteer, as many volunteers are needed to help set up, run booths, answer questions, clean up, etc. Members of the Yale community can volunteer to staff booths, but you do not have to be a medical professional to help out. The Yale Day of Service is a global event, organized by the Association of Yale Alumni and regional Yale clubs, celebrating its landmark 10th anniversary this spring. There are Yale Day of Service sites all over the world, so if you will be in New Haven, New England, across the United States, or somewhere else around the globe, there is likely to be a service site where you can give back alongside others who share in the Yale tradition of making a difference wherever they are. Registration for Day of Service is now open: visit: http://yaledayofservice.org
