Dear YSM Faculty, Staff, and Students,
The 28th Hunger and Homelessness Auction website is now open to accept auction items and monetary donations!
Since 1993, the Yale School of Medicine Hunger and Homelessness Auction has raised thousands of dollars to support organizations in the New Haven area that seek to alleviate poverty in our communities. This event is made possible by contributions from all members of the YSM community, including student organizers and faculty and staff attendees.
In particular, we rely on auction items donated by faculty, staff, and students. If you have donated in the past or would like a new opportunity to support wonderful organizations in our community, please consider donating this year. Any donation is much appreciated—and we love to see the creativity, skills, and passion represented in many of the contributions (see the end of this email for a sample list of past faculty/staff/student donations). We will be accepting donations of auction items up until Tuesday, February 23, but you can also make monetary donations using our website through the auction on Wednesday, February 24. Again, the link to our website is here.
Also please mark your calendars for the actual auction on Wednesday, February 24 at 7:00 p.m. on Zoom (meeting link here, PW: 512076). Many people look forward to this event each year and we encourage you to consider attending if you have not in the past.
