Biography
Professional: I am an 8th year MD/PhD student at the Yale School of Medicine. My research interests have led me to focus on the role of the cerebellum in higher cognitive functioning, an emerging field that promises to shed light on both neuropsychiatric disorders and developmental programs. My PhD thesis under the mentorship of Prof. Nenad Sestan examined human-specific features of the cerebellum using single-cell RNA sequencing and in vitro cell culture and brain organoid models. As a future physician-scientist, I hope to work towards anchoring the understanding and treatment of neuropsychiatric disorders in biological mechanisms.
Extracurricular: In my spare time, I also enjoy playing piano, rowing, and playing board games.
