Biography

I am interested in Structural Biology of proteins, especially cytokines involved in multiple cancers. I received a PhD in Biophysics at NIMHANS, Bangalore, India. During my PhD, I was involved in the discovery of a small molecule modulator that affects protein aggregation, particularly in SOD1, which is associated with ALS. I used X-ray crystallography to understand the effect of amino acids at loop region in domain swapping dimerization of the proteins. As a postdoc at Lolis Lab, an integrative approach is followed to understand the molecular mechanism of chemokine/small molecules and Chemokine receptor interaction.
