Biography
Veronica Weser, PhD, is an Associate Research Scientist in the play4REAL XR Lab in XR Pediatrics. Veronica received her PhD in cognitive psychology from the University of Virginia where she investigated user experience and motion sickness in virtual reality as part of a collaboration with Google VR. Prior to that, Veronica was a Fulbright Fellow at the University of Tsukuba, Japan, where she studied patterns in English spelling errors committed by bilingual English/Japanese elementary students with developmental dyslexia and dysgraphia. Veronica graduated summa cum laude from Vassar College where she double majored in cognitive science and Japanese. She is excited to join the the play4Real Lab and bring technical VR knowledge and her own passion for games to the to the process of creating impactful VR gaming experiences that promote healthy behaviors.
