Biography
Certified as a nurse practitioner in 2011, I have been working in the Department of Surgery at Yale since January 2012. I initially enjoyed time on the inpatient surgical services taking care of patients during their hospitalization on the Emergency General Surgery and GI Surgery services. In 2017, I transitioned to the inpatient Colo-Rectal Surgery service specializing in the post-op recovery and discharge transition of patients after lower GI tract surgeries. I recently completed my WOC training at Emory University in Atlanta and will be sitting for certification exam soon. I am currently providing outpatient specialized care for patients with fecal and urinary stomas and looking to grow out enterostomal therapy program by recruiting a group of certified nurses to help care for patients, provide local support groups for those with ostomies as well as education for staff a skilled nursing facilities and home health agencies who would like to learn more about optimizing stomal care.
