Biography
I received my Ph.D. from Baylor College of Medicine in Hugo J. Bellen’s Lab. In the Bellen lab, I studied how a mitochondrial metabolite regulates synaptic transmission using fruit flies as my model organism. This study led me to become more interested in understanding how metabolism integrates into the neuronal function. To tackle this interest and to learn new tools in neuronal cell biology, I joined Pietro De Camilli’s Lab as a Postdoctoral Fellow.
