The Yale Institute for Global Health will host the inaugural Global Health Symposium on Friday, April 5, in Winslow Auditorium at the Yale School of Public Health (60 College Street).
During the symposium, Yale faculty, students, trainees, and administrators are invited to learn about opportunities to engage in global health, including fellowship opportunities, seed grants, and faculty networks; better understand how to navigate Yale's policies to support global health programs; and network and informally connect with Yale's global health community.

Global health was born out of colonialism. Even today, it is neither diverse nor truly global. Every aspect of global health is dominated by those with power and privilege. If global health is to be reimagined or decolonized, Global North actors who typically hold power and privilege must shift from saviorism to allyship. This shift is possible, and we will see examples.
