Student Affairs
The Office of Student Affairs (OSA) is a central resource for MD students on a broad set of issues. This ranges from providing academic support—for example, organizing the academic advising program and guiding students through career planning and the residency application process—to overseeing programs and providing access to resources that promote student well-being. The OSA lends a listening ear as students make personal and life-long career decisions. Their goal is to help create a positive learning environment that promotes professionalism and overall student wellness. Among its many other responsibilities, the office also supports the numerous and varied student organizations that are a significant part of student life.
The Associate Dean for Student Affairs leads a team that is deeply involved with MD students throughout their time at Yale School of Medicine (YSM) and whose members are dedicated to making YSM a welcoming and supportive experience for all students.
