Although I do not have extensive formal coaching experience, I do have a wealth of experience in debriefing. In my role as Director of Medical and PA Student Simulation at the Yale Center for Healthcare Simulation, I have the opportunity to debrief on countless scenarios with residents and students. Simulation debriefing focuses on uncovering the hidden framework behind complex communication and medical decision-making in a non-judgmental way in order to foster personal growth and improve performance. I hope to bring these skills to the coaching team to provide a safe, judgement free space for students to reflect, improve, and grow!
