The Yale Center for Healthcare Simulation SimTeam hosted its first annual Student Simulation SIMposium on Saturday, May 10. Organized and designed by third-year MD student Sean Mullane and second-year MD student Laura Evans, and mentored by Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine Sam Buck, MD, this day-long event included didactic teaching sessions, hands-on skill learning, and an intramural simulation competition for a group of over 20 first- and second-year medical students. Student participants were scored on two team-based high-fidelity manikin simulations, and had the opportunity to learn how our students, faculty, and allied health professionals use medical simulation.

Special thanks to Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine Rachel Liu, BAO, MBBCh, Assistant Professor Tatiana Moylan, MD, and Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine Samreen Vora, MD, Paramedic Ryan Nicholls, EM Residents Cece Allison, MD, Rose McGlauflin, MD, and Heather Pol, MD, and SimTeam medical students Arielle Rosen and Stephanie Vartnay, for volunteering to make the event successful!
