Full tuition can be billed in the Flex Year and a continuing registration fee billed in the final year. OR 2.One-half the tuition and one-half the continuing registration fee can be charged in each of the two years.
Loan fees will be added to the Cost of Attendance if the student borrows from any one of the programs listed below. The maximum amount will equal the amount of the loan times the fee percentage charges. Loan origination fees are subject to change based on funding uncertainties at the Federal level.

Extended Study / Registration Fee:
Students who pay full tuition for four consecutive years will also pay a $975 registration fee for your chronological fifth year.
Students who split tuition across the fourth and fifth chronological years will pay a $487.5 registration fee for each of these years.
For joint- and dual-degree students, tuition is charged by the school in which you are enrolled during a given term.
Notes:
Federal regulations require that we use a single student budget for all students. A federally-established Standard Maintenance Allowance will be added for married students and/or students with dependents.
Adjustments will be made to the standard single student budget for insurance and origination fees for Federal Direct Unsubsidized and Graduate PLUS loans.
The personal expense allowance, intended for laundry, clothing, entertainment, etc., assumes a modest level of spending during the year.
Included in your tuition fee is the cost of the Yale Health Plan (YHP) and some miscellaneous expenses for you only. There is an additional cost to cover your spouse and dependents. Members of the YHP use the University Health Service Center for outpatient health care. If you have any additional health-related costs, we will adjust to the standard student budget if proper documentation is provided.
In addition to membership in the Yale Health Plan (YHP), the University requires all students to have adequate hospitalization coverage. Such coverage (administered by Connecticut Blue Cross) is available from the YHP for a separate fee. Alternatively, students who are covered by hospitalization under another policy may waive the YHP hospitalization fee upon presentation of evidence that they are covered for hospital benefits under a valid and sufficient hospital insurance contract individually, or through a parent or guardian. Waiver forms are available from YHP Subscriber Service.
