    After receiving undergraduate and medical school degrees from the University of Michigan and undergoing a categorical pediatric residency at Weill-Cornell/NY Medical Center, Dr. Fenick was in private practice for 6 years. Her practical experience is augmented by national and local work in education and educational scholarship. Dr. Fenick has been the co-editor of the Yale Primary Care Pediatrics Curriculum since its inception, and is now the associate director for Pediatrics in the primary care component of the Biopsychosocial Approach to Health, a third-year medical student core clerkship and a longitudinal medical student coach. She is also honored to serve as Medical Director for YNHH's School Based Health Centers, and as Medical Director for the Medical-Legal Partnership Project at YNHCH. Her research and advocacy centers on pediatric primary care in the service of growing children to be healthy, happy, and productive adults. #ChildrenFirst

    Howie Forman is a Professor of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging, Public Health (Health Policy), Management, and Economics at Yale University. He came to Yale as a practicing diagnostic radiologist and remains an active clinician in the YNHH Emergency Room, where he also functions as the deputy operational chief for Radiology. Since 1998, he has taught undergraduate and graduate courses on healthcare policy, economics, finance, and leadership. He is the faculty director and founder of Yale’s MD/MBA program and the Healthcare focus area of the Executive MBA program. Since 2011, he has been the director of the Health Care Management (HCM) Program at the YSPH. He is actively involved in patient care and issues related to financial administration, healthcare compliance, and quality improvement. He has worked in the US Senate, as a health policy fellow, on Medicare legislation. He is widely quoted in popular print and social media on Public Health, Health Policy, Healthcare Leadership/Management and Finance topics. Since September 2021, he has co-hosted the weekly Health And Veritas Podcast with Harlan Krumholz.

    My academic interests pertain to applying new technologies to improve the care of acutely ill and injured children, both here in New Haven and across the globe.  To that end I have taught trainees from Africa and Asia, often with a portable ultrasound in-tow.

    Nadine Horton is a research assistant at the Yale School of Medicine in the general internal medicine section. A native of New Haven, Nadine is an active neighborhood resident with over 18 years of experience as a community organizer in the city of New Haven and has worked with various neighborhoods, organizations, city officials, police, community leaders and residents, and believes in the power of relationships and collaboration to get things done. Nadine is a graduate of Gateway Community College, New Haven with an AA in Liberal Arts. Nadine is the founder of the Armory community garden in the Beaver Hills neighborhood of New Haven, and is an avid gardenerknitter, crocheter, and sewist.
