Biography
Lynn M. LaValley, M.S., CCC-SLP, has worked in the field of speech-language pathology since 2003. She received a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Southern Connecticut State University, and a Master’s Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Nova Southeastern University. Lynn’s clinical experience includes evaluation and treatment of speech and language disorders including: articulation, phonology, Childhood Apraxia of Speech, receptive and expressive language, pragmatic language, and augmentative and alternative communication. She has worked with a diverse population of children and adults within the clinical and residential settings, as well private and public schools. Lynn has a great deal of experience working with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down’s syndrome, Angelmans’ Syndrome, and Cerebral Palsy. Lynn is a member of a special interest group which focuses on Augmentative and Alternative Communication, and is PROMPT trained. She holds a license from the Connecticut Department of Public Health, and from the Connecticut Department of Public Education, and a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association.
Since opening Therapy for Language and Communication in September, 2013, Lynn has been awarded Strathmore’s Who’s Who for Speech Pathology, as well as 2014, 2015, and 2016 Best of Wallingford Awards for Speech Pathologist.
