Cardona Named 2024 Chair of APA Committee on Children

Yale Child Study Center (YCSC) Associate Professor of Child Psychology Laurie Cardona, PsyD has been selected as the new Chair for 2024 for the American Psychological Association’s Committee on Children, Youth and Families (CYF).

The CYF identifies and disseminates evidence-based knowledge concerning the psychological status of children, youth, and families to psychologists, other professionals, policy makers and the public; and engages in APA policy development and advocacy to support national policies that facilitate the optimal development of children and youth within families.

Cardona, who made history in 2022 by being the first Latina faculty member promoted to Associate Professor at the YCSC, also serves as the Clinical Director of Ambulatory Pediatric Psychology among other roles.
