Child Study Center Grand Rounds: "Game of Hormones: Why Sex Matters for Brain Health and Lessons from Studying the Heterogeneity of Perinatal Depression"

Sex Differences exist in major depressive disorder and embracing these differences can inform on different aetiologies and therapeutic pathways for MDD. Perinatal depression (PND) is a heterogeneous disorder with differences in timing of onset of depression, which influences symptomology, severity, and treatment efficacy and harnessing these differences can improve precision medicine for people in need of reproductive mental health care.
