The Ventola Lab focuses on behavioral treatment, specifically Pivotal Response Treatment (PRT) for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). We integrate multidisciplinary techniques including functional and structural neuroimaging to examine the brain basis of treatment response.
Specifically, we are assessing how the brain changes following treatment and how to predict response to treatment based on an individual’s brain-based profile. We are also using eye-tracking, electrophysiology (EEG), and clinical assessments to assess behavioral outcomes and to predict treatment response.
In addition to our clinic-based treatment work, we have studies on delivering PRT via telemedicine using secure videoconferencing technologies.
The Ventola lab is led by Pamela Ventola, PhD, Assistant Professor in the Child Study Center.
