Farhad Montazeri, MD

Clinical Instructor, Child Study Center

I am a Physician (M.D.) licensed to practice in the state of Connecticut and have been conducting research in the field of Child Psychiatry, at Yale Child Study Center, for around 6 years. I have also completed a Post Doctoral Fellowship in the field of Genetics at Yale University prior to my current affiliation with the Child Study Center. My research is focused on Network Modeling of Psychiatric disorders, especially ASD, and its related comorbidities, like depression and anxiety. I have additionally used hierarchical clustering and Module Preservation Analyses in my published papers. Network Models are composed of interrelated phenotypical phenomena and among others, they are used to study the (co)relationship between different manifestations of psychopathologies and their change at different states, for example in cases versus controls or before and after an intervention, etc. My current project is focused on the evolution of the behavioral network of ASD over time. I perform majority of the analysis through R programming, using packages like "qgraph", "bootnet", "WGCNA" and also develop Shiny Applications.
