Rockland 21C is Making A Difference

November 30, 2015

For 20 years, Rockland 21st Century Collaborative for Children & Youth (Rockland 21C) has been a unique county initiative supporting families and communities. Working with school districts, grant-makers, donors, and the County, 21C brings resources and community supports to families at 46 school Family Resource Centers (FRCs). Every day, FRC coordinators answer the cry for help from parents when they ask Who can give us food? Where can I find affordable health care? 21C provides coordinators with the answers to these and many other questions by introducing them to service providers and related trainings. 21C also initiated an ongoing literacy-based home-visiting program for two- and three-year-olds; these children now enter school truly ready to learn and succeed as they progress through their school years.
