Welcoming new YCSC community members: September 2023

September 14, 2023

Following the addition of many new trainees, staff, and returning clinicians throughout the summer, the Yale Child Study Center continues to welcome new community members as the new academic year is in full swing. All new faculty, staff, and trainees are invited to share their bios upon joining the YCSC, and those that follow were submitted earlier this month.

Elizabeth Davidson, PhD: An incoming postdoctoral researcher in the Hoffman Lab, Davidson recently received her PhD from the University of Miami for zebrafish studies on the brain-gut-microbe axis and its involvement in comorbidities of autism. Prior to graduate school, she earned a bachelor’s degree at American University, where she first began working with zebrafish as an undergraduate researcher studying diabetic retinopathy. In her new role, she will be pursuing questions relating to the genetic mechanisms of neurodevelopmental disorders.

Adriana Schütz, MA: A Fulbright grantee and PhD student from Brazil, Schütz recently joined the YCSC McPartland Lab as a postgraduate fellow. She has a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in developmental psychology and her clinical specializations include early childhood, neurodevelopmental disorders, learning, and psychological assessment. Her current interest is investigating the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on early childhood development.
