May 16, 2023

Two new faces have joined the Yale Child Study Center community this month!

Katherine Babb, LCSW: Having earned a master of social work (MSW) from Southern Connecticut State University with a focus in dual diagnostic disorders, Babb joined the YCSC on May 1, 2023 as associate director of the In-Home Clinical Services Intensive Family Preservation (IFP) program, funded by the Department of Children and Families (DCF). Her clinical work focuses on the intersection of mental health, substance use disorders, and powers and systems impacting children and families.

Suha Khan: Born and raised in Pakistan, Khan received a bachelor of science in Neuroscience from the University of Miami in 2022. As an undergraduate, she worked in Dr. Julia Dallman’s lab where she began working with zebrafish to understand the role of genes in neural development and behavior. Khan joined the Hoffman Lab at the YCSC as a postgraduate associate as of May 1, 2023, with the goal of furthering her understanding of the underlying mechanisms by which genes impact behavior.
