For the second year in a row, members of the Yale Child Study Center (YCSC) community joined together in person to celebrate and recognize academic and professional progression among YCSC faculty and staff. This year’s event took place during the department’s usual Grand Rounds time, from 1-2 p.m. on Tuesday, October 8, 2024 in the Cohen Auditorium.

The goal of the event, organized by Tara Davila, who serves as the department’s vice chair for diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging, is to intentionally mark and celebrate professional transition, whether faculty or staff promotions or new leadership roles on an annual basis.

YCSC Chair Linda Mayes served as emcee for the event, with the names of those being recognized for recent promotion or progression (from July 2023 through July 2024) were displayed via a lively PowerPoint presentation. Attendees socialized and enjoyed refreshments.

Those recognized were as follows.

  • Benedicte Aarestrup
  • Michael Bloch
  • Christina Cipriano
  • Nancy Close
  • Nicole Elbertson
  • Jessica Hoffman
  • Karim Ibrahim
  • Rachel Kabari
  • Danica Kelly
  • David Lewkowicz
  • Angelina Vernetti
  • Sherayna Young
