Committee

In alignment with the Office of Collaborative Excellence at Yale School of Medicine, a core group of volunteer committee members meet regularly to inform and support YCSC initiatives aimed at fostering a thriving community and maintaining a welcoming organizational climate.

Led by Tara Davila, LCSW, in her role as YCSC vice chair for collaborative excellence, committee members are committed to pursuing collaborative excellence through the intentional cultivation of a broad range of perspectives and experiences. Goals of this work include enhancing a sense of community within the department and supporting a connected culture across the varied missions and work of the center.

The committee has made important contributions to the onboarding process at the center and helped launch new mentoring efforts for faculty, staff, and trainees. The group works to increase transparency through various communication efforts, and to ensure that all voices are given opportunities to be heard and represented.

While the committee has led efforts that impact YCSC faculty, staff, and trainees, they are also dedicated to efforts that benefit the families served by the center. Sub-committees are also formed to serve as workgroups focused on specific areas within the center or arms of the center’s mission. Committee and workgroup membership is open to all faculty, staff, and trainees in the department.
