YCSC Grand Rounds

"Sleep Hygiene: Health Impacts and Intervention Strategies"

Using a "Health Equity Rounds" format developed by Mass General Hospital and adapted for the Viola Bernard Fellowship, this year's fellows will discuss how poor sleep can impact physical health, cognitive development, emotional well-being, and mood among youth. They will also address how bedtime routines, cultural norms, and societal expectations can vary and impact sleep hygiene. Finally, they will provide strategies for healthcare providers to include sleep hygiene in differential diagnosis and biopsychosocial intervention.

YCSC Grand Rounds sessions are typically presented in the Cohen Auditorium at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesdays from September through June, with a live stream available via Zoom. Internal participants are encouraged to attend sessions in person. Select recordings are posted on-line as soon as they are available, though Compassionate Care and Health Equity Rounds are not recorded to maintain confidentiality.
