"Working with Filipino Americans"

Kevin Nadal, PhD, is a distinguished professor of psychology at the City University of New York and the current President of the Filipino American National Historical Society. He has authored 14 books and more than 100 publications. Drawing from Nadal's body of scholarship on Filipino American psychology, his talk will address the unique historical and sociopolitical factors shaping Filipino American mental health and key psychological constructs relevant to Filipino American clients. This session is designed for psychologists, counselors, social workers, and other mental health professionals seeking deeper cultural competence and clinical effectiveness in serving Filipino American communities.
