Biography
Tamique Ridgard Peters, PhD, is a licensed psychologist in Connecticut and New York and a Nationally Certified School Psychologist (NCSP). She earned her Bachelor of Science in psychology at Yale University and her Doctor of Philosophy in school psychology at Lehigh University. Her clinical training includes a pre-doctoral internship at the Devereux Center for Effective Schools and a post-doctoral fellowship in the Child Welfare Program at Westchester Institute for Human Development. Throughout her career, Dr. Ridgard has provided assessment and intervention services for children from birth through adolescence in a variety of settings, including schools, school-based health clinics, outpatient mental health clinics, pediatric primary care centers, home visiting programs, child welfare services, and private practice. Trained as a school psychologist, Dr. Ridgard also has expertise in supporting children’s success in school through consultation with parents, teachers, and other school personnel. She is particularly interested in creating systems-level change to improve the mental health and well-being of children and families from underserved communities. Currently, Dr. Ridgard provides evidence-based, culturally responsive services to children and families to address a range of behavioral and emotional needs at the Child Study Center in Westport, CT.
