Biography
Sophie Lembeck, MA, LCSW is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Clinical Instructor of Social Work at the Yale Child Study Center. Sophie has worked with children, adolescents, and their families in community-based mental healthcare settings since 2016. She is certified in evidence-based practices including Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT,) Modular Approach to Therapy for Children with Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, or Conduct Problems (MATCH-ADTC,) Parent Management Training (PMT,) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT,) and practices individual, family, and group psychotherapy. Sophie’s clinical interests include anxiety/mood disorders, with a focus on how these disorders impact girls and young women. Sophie is a graduate of Smith College School for Social Work (MSW,) New York University (MA – Sociology of Education,) and Hampshire College (BA – Sociology, Education.)
