Yale Child Study Center (YCSC) Research Scientist Amanda Dettmer was recently featured on the first episode of a new podcast, titled “Research Ethics Reimagined” and launched in September by Public Responsibility in Medicine and Research (PRIM&R) to help further public understanding of scientific research.
Dettmer joined Robert Nobles, vice president for research administration at Emory University, as guests on the episode titled “Making Science More Accessible" and hosted by PRIM&R executive director Ivy R. Tillman. They addressed the importance of building and maintaining trust in science by creating a connection with the public and simplifying the language scientists use.
The monthly podcast features conversations with scientists, researchers, and bioethicists. Five episodes have been released to date, with the second episode focused on the intersection of research and artificial intelligence. Each episode is published with a full transcript and discussion guide to help listeners learn more about the subjects.
