This session is the first in a four-part series on cultural humility offered via Zoom for Yale Child Study Center (YCSC) faculty, staff, and trainees by Tara Davila, LCSW. YCSC community members can learn more about this session and access the registration link via the department intranet on SharePoint.

A second/alternate session of Understanding Place will be offered on Oct. 15, 2026, from 10–11:30 a.m. via Zoom since the first session was inadvertently scheduled on a religious holiday. This happened because the religious calendar shared by the chaplain did not properly integrate into Outlook. This will be remedied to support our value of inclusion. Sincere apologies for the exclusion created for members of our community observing this sacred day. The original session will proceed on Monday as planned, and all who are unable to attend are encouraged to consider joining the alternate session with identical content in October.
All in the YCSC community are invited to participate in this series. Opportunities to learn from the experiences of others are offered to the YCSC community throughout each academic year. As always, ideas and suggestions are welcomed.
