Biography

Dr Deepa Jayaram graduated from K.E.M Hospital, Seth G.S. Medical College, Mumbai University, India. She underwent Internal Medicine Residency training from Michael Reese Hospital and Medical Center/ University of Illinois followed by a Fellowship in Nephrology from the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Harvard Medical School. Additionally, she has completed a Fellowship in Transplant Nephrology from the University of Michigan.

With over two decades of clinical experience in Nephrology, her expertise lies in managing various kidney ailments. Her practice in both India and the USA, exposed her to diverse cultural perspectives, allowing her to integrate different practice patterns for patient care. Her approach emphasizes empathy and dedicating time to listen to and address patient concerns, particularly those with Chronic Kidney Disease.

She has a special interest in Preventive care in Nephrology, advocating effective screening for early diagnosis, advancing kidney health awareness and mitigating kidney disease burden. Her other academic pursuits includes areas such as Glomerulonephritis, Diabetic kidney disease, and post-Acute Kidney Injury care, aimed at reducing progression to Chronic Kidney Disease
