Stephen & Denise Adams Center for Parkinson’s Disease Research: Building the Future of Precision Neurology

This workshop introduces our new inter-departmental Stephen & Denise Adams Center for Parkinson’s Disease Research led by founding Director Clemens Scherzer, MD. The session, titled "Building the Future of Precision Neurology," will be held on Thursday, March 27, from 1 to 5 p.m.

The center’s goal is to change the ways that Parkinson’s is diagnosed and treated, including through the use of predictive and preventive precision neurology and the power of genomics and artificial intelligence (AI). The workshop introduced how the center is bringing together innovative physicians, scientists, and engineers from across Yale and beyond to advance Parkinson’s research and precision neurology in general. It also discussed advances in decoding the genetic causes and pathophysiology of complex and familial forms of the disease and explored how digital twins and brains-on-chip simulations are facilitating innovative progress with applications for biological discovery, therapeutic targeting, and disease management.
